YOU ARE NOT A FRENCH CITIZEN

All foreign investments are welcomed in French Polynesia. However investing in real estate business, fishery, aquaculture, pearls, the audiovisual and telecommunications does require a preliminary authorization. For those categories of investment, an application must be sent to the Investment promotion board of French Polynesia, which will transfer it on to the Council of ministers.

For all other investments, a declaration must be sent to the Investment promotion Board, within 3 months after their execution.

Several organizations specialized in the implementation or in the take over of companies in French Polynesia, will inform you of the different administrative steps that need to be taken:

  • The centre of companies formalities, CCISM (Chamber of commerce, industry, services and the professions)
  • The service of industry and business development
  • The tax office
